BlackBook's website features an interview with Swallow Editor and Creative Director, James Casey.

DEVIL IN THE DETAILS-A PREVIEW OF SWALLOW'S SPECTACULAR COMIC INSERT

As a Swallow first, illustrator extraordinaire Andrew Rae created a 20 page duotone comic insert for the Trans-Siberian Issue. Featuring full-frontal male nudity, and based loosely around real events (vodka binges! missing passports! talking cats!), 'Devil in the Details,' illustrates a journey across two continents encumbered.

The press juggernaught contines apace with shout-outs in GOOD MAGAZINE's list of 'The Eight Food Magazines You Should Read Now.' Kindly, they mention our trailblazing(!) interview with Rene Rezepi of noma in Copenhagen, of which we will be posting in it's entirety shortly.

"The first issue in November, 2008, traversed Scandinavia, Iceland, and Greenland. While the issue anticipated the rise of New Nordic cuisine with a profile of Rene Redzepi, chef at Noma, the recently crowned world’s best restaurant, the twice-annual, hard-bound magazine isn’t about celebrity chef chasing. I have 5 pet ducks who will NEVER be dinner. Your insensitive image just
lost you a customer. Please remove it."
