As a Swallow first, illustrator extraordinaire Andrew Rae created a 20 page duotone comic insert for the Trans-Siberian Issue. Featuring full-frontal male nudity, and based loosely around real events (vodka binges! missing passports! talking cats!), 'Devil in the Details,' illustrates a journey across two continents encumbered.

The press juggernaught contines apace with shout-outs in GOOD MAGAZINE's list of 'The Eight Food Magazines You Should Read Now.' Kindly, they mention our trailblazing(!) interview with Rene Rezepi of noma in Copenhagen, of which we will be posting in it's entirety shortly.

Swallow Magazine, caught floating somewhere near the top right hand corner of New York Magazine's beloved Approval Matrix.
The digest, with marquee quotes:
"Creative photography that's raw and artistic"
"Writing that is informative, evocative, and full of personality"
And perhaps more amusingly, a slightly off-kilter commenter who appears to walk the beat of his/her own drum.
"As a Bon Appetit subscriber, I was considering subscribing to "Swallow."
Until... I was HORRIFIED by the photo of the duck's decapitated head
depicted in a humorous manner.
I have 5 pet ducks who will NEVER be dinner. Your insensitive image just
lost you a customer. Please remove it."
Sorry Bon Appétit, but you're better off without them.
